Description

Step aboard Pebble - a Drascombe Drifter for the truly adventurous
Pebble is not just any boat; it is a unique Drascombe Drifter. Perfect for experienced sailors or pioneers who like to cautiously explore new waters. With Pebble, you choose pure sailing pleasure and discover the charm of simplicity on the water.

Back to basics - Boating as it was meant to be
No luxury Auping mattress, shower or bow thruster - a Drascombe offers a pure and adventurous sailing life. When the first Drascombes appeared in the Netherlands in the 1970s, they became a standout with their characteristic wide butt, brown sails and charming British pastel colours. Today, they remain loved for their authentic look and no-nonsense sailing experience.

Sailing with a Drascombe: nature and adventure
Sailing with Pebble requires a good dose of sailing experience or a curious, exploratory spirit. This boat is a master of long, straight strokes and course keeping, but less suitable for sharp cruising up narrow Frisian ditches. Thoughtful route planning is therefore essential, and sometimes the sailing boom or engine comes in handy.

Enjoying outdoor life
On a Drascombe, you live outdoors. You feel the wind, hear the lapping of the water and see nature up close. No gas, water or electricity on board - that is the charm. For a shower or toilet you visit a nearby campsite, but in return you enjoy spectacular sunsets and geese flying overhead, from the spacious, open cockpit.

Camping on the water
A night on Pebble feels like camping, but on a ship. Be gently rocked to sleep at anchor or against a wall and wake up to the first rays of sunshine. Take a fresh morning dip via the swim ladder and start the day as it should be: relaxed and at one with nature.

Designed for adventure
Pebble is perfect for inland and coastal waters and is made to go dry on mudflats. Thanks to the keel and bilge keels, the boat remains stable when the water recedes. With a draught of just 60 cm, you will effortlessly cruise the Frisian lakes and explore even the smallest corners with the dipstick in your hand.
With Pebble, you choose freedom, nature and adventure - get on board and experience it for yourself.

Please note:
Proper sailing experience is important for hire. If in doubt, instruction can take place several weeks before departure, then you and the instructor will take your time to get to know the boat.
